The story

Meano Conversions / M. Meano & Sons: a Krugersdorp story since 1910

M. Meano & Sons records its establishment in 1910, when coachbuilding included ox-wagons and wooden motor bodies. The business subsequently adapted its craft to changing vehicles and transport needs.

Passed through three generations, Meano developed specialist experience in motor-body construction and 4x4 conversions and continues operating from Factoria.

A three-generation coachbuilding business whose story began when ox-wagons and wooden motor bodies were still common. Its continuing presence forms part of the wider story of how Krugersdorp's churches, schools, workshops and family businesses adapted as the town changed around them.
